How to Reset Your Password
There are three places that you can have a password here at ILJEmail.com. The first password is the one that you originally set up to administrate your account at the Billing Panel. This also set your password to the Admin Panel where you administrate your email addresses. Then you also have individual passwords for your email addresses in case you have more than one. Here’s the breakdown of handling those passwords:
The Billing Panel
Let’s log into the billing panel here: https://billing.iljemail.com
Click your name at the top right and choose “Change Password” from the dropdown list.
That will show you the Change Password Screen. You can change your password here to whatever you like as long as it is secure (at least 8 characters that includes an upper case letter, lower case letter, a number, and a symbol)
Notice on the screen there’s a checkbox to also update the Admin Panel password? There really shouldn’t be a reason to uncheck that unless you want your password to be different in each panel.
The Admin Panel
You will see this on the home screen:
Click the blue “Change Password” button and a change password window will pop up.
You can change this password here but please understand that this will NOT update your billing panel password. Change your password here ONLY if you want separate passwords for your billing and admin panels. You can also set up 2 factor authentication for your admin panel. You can find instructions for that at this link.
Changing Email Address Passwords
You change your individual email address passwords within your admin panel. After you log in, click on the tab called “Users”.
You will see this screen (with your email addresses listed instead of this one of course).
Click the little pencil icon over on the right and the following screen will pop up. This is the details screen for that particular email address. You can do a lot here but that’s for another article. 🙂 If you want to change the password for this email address, simply type in the new password and click the blue update button at the bottom.
The next time you check email for that email address, it will ask for the new password.
